In the film industry, there are a few actors who are doctors in real life but ended up as actors due to certain circumstances. In Tollywood, we have many such actors who are doctors by profession. From senior actor Rajasekhar to the happening beauty Sai Pallavi, there are a lot of medical professionals who took their plunge into acting. Actors like Ajmal (Rangam fame), and Bharath Reddy are popular doctors in Hyderabad and Chennai.
On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, Sai Pallavi and Uma Maheshwara Ugra Ropasya fame Roopa interacted with a popular Telugu news daily.
Sai Pallavi:
This talented actress made her debut with the 2015 film Premam. However, she participated in many dance shows before that. Pallavi took a break from dance to pursue her career in medicine. She completed her graduation in a foreign country in 2016. However, she couldn’t start practicing as a doctor due to her film career. But the actress is trying hard to stay in touch with medicine and also appeared for a Medical Graduate exam last year. Apparently, the 29-year-old actress wants to become a cardiologist in the future.
Roopa Koduvayur:
Roopa made her acting debut with Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya last year. She is a student of medicine in real life. Roopa was pursuing the final year as a House Surgeon at the Katuri Medical College & Hospital, Guntur, when the COVID-19 pandemic had hit the country last year. She worked as a frontline worker at that time. Recently, she was seen in a music video called Daare Leda, which is dedicated to doctors. The actress says that she wants to balance both medicine and acting careers in the future. She also revealed her plans of specializing in Oncology in the coming days.
Meanwhile, celebrities like Mahesh Babu, Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Rakul Preet, and others are extending their greetings to doctors all over the country.
